I found this web site from my sister Sue Ann
Carcuro Downes. We are the daughters of Theodore Carcuro. He is deceased for
over a year now, but is survived by
his wife Jacqueline and 4 children, Michael, Sue Ann, Jacqueline and Lisa. I can
not read Italian but am interested in any English info I can receive of
relatives in Italy. I am planning
a European Vacation soon and am interested in some family roots there. I
am 38 years old and live in Fredericksburg VA with my husband and 3 daughters.I
have MANY family photos of Theodore's Parents, Antoinette and Michael. I have
also located their original immigration papers and marriage certificates. VERY
interesting. My father had them stored in a metal box and they were recovered
going through his things after he passed. Please respond if you can understand this.
Sincerely Lisa Carcuro Mitchell

As
I continue on your site, I have somehow clicked onto family photos and sure
enough, there was a photo of my grandfather, my mom and dad, and my aunt and
uncles, so I guess this confirms we are related...although Im not sure how..but
would love to know. I cannot translate your site as it messes up my computer but
am so anxious to hear from you.
I
even saw a photo of my brother on your site when he was a youngster. I
often wonder if everyone with the last name of Carcuro is directly related to
me...how exciting to think so.
So,
I excitedly look forward to hearing from you.

Possibly Related
Dear
Antonio,
As
I am not able to read Italian or translate your website, this may be a hit and
miss e-mail. I have a feeling that we are probably closely related though.
I have seen letters posted on your linked sites that were written by relatives.
Anyway,
I was searching the web for related sites to my father, Theodore (Tiosio) Frank
Carcuro, who passed away in June of 2004. I found some interesting
information but was excited to see so many Carcuro's from Italy on the web.
My
name is Sue Ann Carcuro...I am the eldest daughter of Theodore Frank Carcuro,
son of Anthony and Antoinette Carcuro. I dont know much about my family
history but can remember as a youngster, Dad's cousins from Italy coming to
visit. I was born in 1952 and have one brother and two sisters.
If
we are related, i would much like to hear from you. Wishing you well.

there (and how) are you?
Dear
Antonio,
Thank you for the email. Yes, I got
your last email and started writing you back, but have not finished it yet.
I
have been so busy here at work lately and when I get home, it seems like it is
always so late. Anthony and I will be moving in our new house soon. My birthday
is on July 31st, Tuesday, and we are planning to be signing papers on our house
tomorrow. What a great birthday present! We are very excited.
This
past weekend we went to the state of Oklahoma to visit Anthony's family.
His mother and I share the same birthday. :) Your english is very good.
You are doing a great job. I am very happy you are writing to me still. I
enjoy reading your mail. Also, I would love to play chess with you, but I
don't know how. Anthony is very good though. He said he would like to play
with you. How do we sign on with you? After we go to www.yahoo.com,
what do we do? Please let me know and we can meet you in the chess room
some time soon. I hope your family is doing well. I hope to be able
to meet you all some day. Have you ever been to Texas? Anthony has
toured Europe and lived in Rome when he was in college. He plans to take
me there one day. I hope when he does, we can finally meet. Write me
back soon.
Love,
Lisa

You are so very thoughtful. I appreciate the card, it means a lot to me.
So far, I have had 3 people wish me a happy birthday this morning and it is only
8:21 am. My husband, My father, and now you. :) I am 29 today.
Can you believe it? I feel old. Although, I am very thankful for
another year of life that God has granted to me. Here's to another great
year! When is your birthday?

Re:
I'm with you
Antonio,
Thank you for writing to me and for your deep concern for the United States
right now. This tragic event has shaken America and I fear it will never be the
same here. What once felt like a safe haven to live in, is now a place that most
people fear of what each day will hold. When Anthony and I were at church
yesterday morning, I realized that we have to continue to allow God to be in
control of our lives and to not live in fear. Fear does not come from God, but
from our enemy. I will pray for you and your family and I ask you to do the same
for our nation during this time. Stay close to God for he is the only place to
draw true strength. Yes, I plan to send your father a card. I have his
address taped to my computer screen so I will not lose it. I am excited about
sending a postcard. I am also happy to hear about the new baby in the family. I
can't wait to start a family of our own soon. Anthony and I have been feeling as
though we are ready now. I am happy you and your wife got to go on vacation
alone. That is so important. I hope your trip was good and I pray for the safe
return of your children to your home. Your english is very good and I appreciate
you writing to me in english. You are doing very well. Anthony and I spent a lot
of time at home this past weekend working on our house and yard. We had a great
weekend together. God has really blessed us during our first year of marriage
and I love being married. Anthony is a very good husband, and he is my best
friend. I am fortunate to have him as my life-long companion. Tonight our friend
is coming over to work on our computer. He has to get our whole system working
and we will soon have our scanner hooked up too. We had to get a new computer
because our old one was not updated enough to use our new scanner and it was
slow. Then, I promise I will send you pictures. Please write to me again. It is
great hearing from you. Take care and God Bless always!
Love, Lisa Reale

Dear
Antonio, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know this must be a
difficult time for you. I pray for God's comfort and His perfect peace to
be with you and your family today. I will keep you in my prayers and
thoughts during this time. "Dear Heavenly Father, Please put your hands on
Antonio and all those who mourn during this loss. We know that we can find
perfect peace in you. Help us to remember that when those we love pass on,
we can rejoice at the fact they are with you in paradise today. Help us
keep our faith in you and to remember that you are in control of all things even
when we may not understand them. Bless Antonio and his family this day and
always. We pray all these things in your name,

know that we finally got a new scanner and color printer so we can scan pictures
in on our computer and send to you throught email. I worked on learning how to
do it last night. I will send you one of our wedding pictures tonight when I get
home and soon will send you some pictures of my dad and brother and sister as
well. Did your dad ever receive my birthday card in the mail? I mailed one to

THANKS FOR E-MAIL
Dear
Antonio,
I was sooo happy to get your E-mail. I am so fascinated my where my family came
from. I am 28 years old and have been married to my husband Joe, for 3 years in
September. I work in a law office. I have a brother Nicholas who is 26, he is
not married, he is the supervisor at a warehouse. Neither of us have children
yet. My father is Dominick, he just turned 50 in May, and my mother is Sherry.
My parents just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in June. My
grandfather, Dominick was the most wonderful person to me, we were very close
until his death, in 1986 I believe it was. We have a very wonderful family here,
and are all very close. I spend Sunday's with my grandmother, Betty, and usually
my Aunt Karen, Uncle Cary, and Uncle Nick are there too. My grandfather was
married twice, so the children are from different mothers, but we're all still
very close, in fact my grandfather's first wife usually joins us for Sunday
dinner too!!
My
cousin Elizabeth is getting married in August, so I will see many cousins, I
will be sure to tell them to look at your website, and E-mail you. I live north
of Schenectady, near a town called Saratoga. It's were all the people come in
the summer to see the horse racing. It's nice and country-like. I have always
wanted to come to Italy, I loved seeing your pictures. My father's family on his
mother's side also come from Italy, so he's Italian on both sides. My mother's
family is from Ireland. I 'm going to help my Dad get some pictures
to send to you, very soon. I'll get some more information on everybody else too.
I look forward to hearing from you again.
Good
Bye For Now
Cousin, Tia-Marie
P.S. I think that is wonderful that Lorenzo is still living, God Bless him, I hope you have a safe trip to Banzi. Also Caterina is my favorite name, and if I am blessed with a daughter, I hope to name her that, and now I can say she is named for her cousin in Italy.I hope that we will all get to meet someday.
